Growing in Grace

"Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory forever and ever! Amen." (2 Peter 3:18)

We are never done growing and learning as Christians. Part of our growth is regularly gathering to learn about what God has to tell us in the Bible through weekly Bible Study. You can learn more about that here. Another way that our church offers growth is through personalized Bible Study with our Pastor. We call this course "Growing in Grace" as a reminder that we are never done growing until Jesus returns and finishes the work that he started in us.

When is this course offered?

Currently, our pastor is able to offer flexible scheduling with anyone who is interested in the study.

Who is the class for?

The class is not for anyone in specific. It covers a wide variety of the teachings of Scripture and is a great review or primer of what the Bible teaches.

How long does the class take?

There are a total of 15 lessons. The class is broken into 3 sections which allows for easy breaks if it is necessary. Each lesson take about an hour to complete. Scheduling is flexible, so don't let a complicated schedule on your part think that you can't join us.

What content does the class cover?

The first section focuses on the 4 key truths of the Bible: sin, grace, faith, and works. The next section take a look at the Bible, Jesus, the Trinity, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper. The final section looks at the guidance that God offers to us as we go about the world as followers of Jesus. We try to define the "Bible words" that are found in church and in the Bible but that we might be unfamiliar with. We can also answer any questions you may have along the way.

Do I have to make a commitment to take the class?

Certainly not! You don't even have to be a Christian to take this class. We want everyone to feel welcome as we simply look together at the words of the Bible. This class is designed to address many of the questions and objections that people have about the Church and about the Bible.
